Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Monitoring Sigma has performed routine and renovation/ construction specific IAQ assessments consisting of airborne biological, particulate matter, temperature, and relative humidity monitoring. Conducted clearance IAQ monitoring following completion of renovation activities. Performed monitoring to document that hospital pharmacy met USP Chapter 797 ISO class standards as required. Responded to IAQ complaints by conducting exposure monitoring to environmental tobacco smoke and assessing airborne biological, particulate matter, CO, C02, temperature, and relative humidity levels. Process Evaluation Children's Hospital wanted to evaluate the cost benefit of installing an ultraviolet radiation (UV) disinfection system inside two air handling units (AHUs) serving immuno-compromised patients to reduce biological growth on the cooling coils. In order to evaluate the efficacy of the UV disinfection system, Sigma conducted baseline monitoring in both AHUs over a one-year period prior to installing the UV system and is in the process of completing the one year monitoring period following the UV system installation. During the evaluation, Sigma evaluated the following parameters:
