USEPA - Funded Brownfield Project, The Sigma Group

Provided technical services for the completion of an area wide groundwater characterization of the Menomonee River Valley. Project outcome generated environmental information that is being used to facilitate streamlined approaches and decisions for future development within the 1,500-acre valley.

Highlighted services performed by Sigma:

Environmental Site Assessment Compiled and reviewed information for over 350 sites including old photos, historical maps and site specific data.

Regional Groundwater Approach Performed level monitoring of a well network of over 90 sampling points and river gauges and conducted sampling for water quality analysis.

Surveying and Mapping Conducted GIS based elevation and location survey of sampling points to establish vertical and horizontal gradient mapping.

Agency/Stakeholder Interaction Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, City of Milwaukee, Menomonee Valley Partners, and Sixteenth Street Community Health Center.
