Summary: This presentation is the first full day of instruction in a five day class presented annually by the Federation of Envionmental Technologists focusing on the management of industrial wastewater containing metals, organic compounds and oils. Topics covered in this session include a regulatory overiew of pertinent water regulations, basic problem solving, an introduction to industrial wastewater treatment, pH control, oxidation-reduction processes, and metals precipition. The course prepares industrial wastewater treatment operators who are taking the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources certification test as well as satisfied professional development CEU credits.
