Summary: This presentation focuses on the current environmental regulatory climate and engineering challenges of renovating and demoliting industial sites. From managing aspestos containing materials and unknown chemical residuals to the "green" aspects of demolition material and asset recovery, a systematic process is applied for deconstruction facilities similar to the new construction however the sensitivity for handling hazardous materials is more acute.
