Innovative Approach to Storm Water Management for Small Parcel Site Development
As an alternative to more traditional storm water management approaches which rely on above ground detention basins, Sigma designed an innovative storm water management system for an approximate 1.23 acre commercial development in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The system utilizes pervious concrete pavement and an underlying stone detention bed for management of storm water at the site. The system results in zero discharge of storm water from the site and eliminated the need for additional land to accommodate traditional above ground storm water detention basins.
