Lead Based Paint Services

OSHA requires lead based paint inspections prior to major renovation and demolition.
State & Federal environmental agencies require proper identification of lead in painted material to determine proper recycling and disposal options.
HUD requires lead assessment and risk analysis.

Our job is to quickly evaluate site conditions, develop a management plan and associated budget, and provide the expertise to implement a quick, cost effective resolution.
Our staff is trained and certificated as Lead Sampling Technicians, Lead Inspectors, Lead Hazard Investigators, and Lead Risk Assessors. We have the resources to help you regardless of whether you are buying a residential, commercial/office, or industrial building, planning a demolition, renovation, or expansion, or complying with HUD, EPA, or OSHA requirements.
Sigma’s capabilities also include an X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzer (XRF) that our trained and certified technicians use to detect minute levels of lead and other metals in painted surfaces throughout your facility. The XRF completes the analysis in real time, on the spot, saving the cost and time of shipping samples to a fixed laboratory and then waiting for results.
For facility operators, property owners, builders, developers and lenders, lead paint and other hazardous chemical compounds can present complex and costly management issues. Many times, remediation services go above and beyond what is necessary through the unnecessary removal or land filling of uncontaminated sources, simply because testing the materials is presumed to be time consuming and expensive.
We resolve the issue of schedule and expense by offering an alternative: XRF. In addition, the XRF is non-destructive and leaves your facility without the damage traditionally incurred by lead paint chip sampling.
